Dates: Saturday, November 2 & Sunday, November 3, 2024

Times: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm each day

Cost: $290 per person with optional CPR recertification for additional $45 per person

This entry-level course is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and newcomers to the outdoor industry. The 16 hours of instruction cover patient assessment and how to provide basic care for sick or injured patients. Students will participate in hands-on scenarios in addition to classroom lectures and activities. CPR is an available add-on. This course is recommended for hikers, camp staff, mountain bikers, river guides, backpackers, and hunters. Successful completion of this course provides a two-year certification. This course does not include CPR – American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). CPR and AED training is offered on the first night of the WFA course for an additional fee. Participants can expect to spend time learning as a group in both a classroom setting as well as outside with hands-on action in real world scenarios.

    This 16-hour, 2-day entry-level course is the ideal certification for outdoor enthusiasts looking for basic first aid training and backcountry medical skills. Students will have an opportunity to learn practical skills through hands-on scenarios as well as in a traditional classroom setting. WFA is a 2-year certification. CPR training will be offered at the end of day 1 for an additional $45.
